A Guide to Material and Finishes

Fiberstone

Fiberstone is made with a proprietary process that combines glass fibers, polyester resins, and aggregate materials.

• Looks and feels like natural stone
• Our most lightweight material option
• Durable, high-impact resistant material
• Withstands extreme weather conditions, like “freeze/thaw” cycles
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

• 1/3 of the weight of GFRC
• Great for large pieces; easier to move into place
• More chip-resistant than GFRC
• Ideal for hospitality and commercial use

Glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC)

GFRC is a composite material made of high-quality cement, glass fibers, and other resins.

• Looks and feels like natural stone
• Smooth finish; no bubbles or blemishes
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
• Withstands extreme weather conditions, like “freeze/thaw” cycles

• 75% lighter than regular concrete, cement, and stone
• May form hairline cracks from temperature changes; won’t affect structural integrity or aesthetic of piece
• Less expensive than Fiberstone
